- NHS appointment based in Cheltenham General and Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals.
- Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the Membership, Fellowship and Exit Examinations both in the UK and Internationally.
- Clinical director in ophthalmic surgery for Gloucester Royal Hospital for 5 years.
- BMA Honourary Secretary for Gloucestershire for 3 years.
Longest experience of modern cataract surgery in Gloucestershire, having introduced phakoemulsification and small incision lenses to the county.
Work continues with accomodative variable focus lenses for cataract patients and phakic implants such as the ICL for patients who are outside the range for Lasik.
At this time I am the only ophthalmic surgeon in Gloucestershire undertaking these exciting new techniques.
